We offer a mobile and community-based supported employment program that provides assistance to all qualified individuals in their selection, attainment, and retention of integrated employment. Professional career counselors provide vocational assessments, career counseling, job search assistance, job skill training, and long term follow-up support. Individuals work one-on-one with their own employment consultant to strengthen job-related skills, prepare for the application/interview process, master the essential functions of the job, and learn how to stay employed.
We provide vocational rehabilitation services to individuals with disabilities who need assistance in finding and sustaining employment. This includes training of job task performance, employment related soft skills, and counseling on the various barriers that an individual with a disability may face. Through a comprehensive career counseling and transitional employment program, we provide a work training environment that mirrors the career opportunities of our community and serves as an intermediate step towards helping individuals secure their ideal employment outcomes.
Pre-Employment Transition Services
Through our Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS), trained counselors empower youth with disabilities to achieve their highest employment potential. Services include job exploration counseling, work-based learning experiences both in-school and out-of-school, counseling for enrollment in postsecondary education, workplace readiness training to develop social skills and independent living, and instruction in self-advocacy. This program is available to youth ages 14 to 21 who are currently enrolled in school and are receiving services through an IEP or 504 plan.
Ticket to Work
The Ticket to Work program is a good fit for Social Security disability beneficiaries age 18 through 64 who want to improve their earning potential and are committed to preparing for long-term success in the workplace. People with disabilities can make progress toward financial independence through career development services and support that is unique to them.
Benefits Counseling is a service that helps individuals with disabilities and their families understand how employment and other life decisions will impact their benefits. This service helps each individual understand what benefits the individual receives and why, the work incentives available when they go to work, impacts from earned income, reporting requirements, and how to save money and build assets for self-sufficiency.
