Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month Pledge
SERVING THE JERSEY CAPE REGION!
In 1971, our founders Frances E. Goetz and Roy Gillian of Ocean City met to form the beginning of a grassroots organization for supporting employment training for the disabled of Cape May County.
In 1973, Jersey Cape Diagnostic, Training, and Opportunity Center, simply referred to as "Jersey Cape", was incorporated. Since then, we've helped over 5,000 individuals in their vocational goals.
We assist individuals in reaching their maximum potential for leading independent, satisfying lives as members of the community. To do this, we offer multiple services with the end goal oriented towards helping at risk individuals achieve their goals and greater independence.

WE MAKE NJ'S BEACH TAGS/BADGES
Through our Transitional Employment service, we produce most of the Jersey Shore's world famous beach tags/badges. Participants receive career counseling and participate in a compensated work training environment where, among other jobs, they assemble the pins into the tags/badges.
