Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month is held annually in March. The campaign seeks to raise awareness about the inclusion of people with developmental disabilities in all facets of community life, as well as awareness of the barriers that people with disabilities still sometimes face in connecting to the communities in which they live.
Here at Jersey Cape, we are leading the way in the Jersey Cape region in making sure every individual has the opportunity to succeed in the region’s workforce. We encourage all to pledge to recognize disability awareness and people first language.
